Kevin Nathan

Kevin Nathan (MSEE), a Ph.D. student in the department of electrical and computer engineering at the UH Cullen College of Engineering, is helping paraplegics to walk again using only the power of their thoughts…

As the first recipient of the joint UH/HMRI Graduate Fellowship in Clinical Translation, Nathan works closely with UH electrical and computer engineering professor Jose Luis Contreras-Vidal and Robert Grossman, M.D., professor of neurological surgery at Houston Methodist to study the use of brain-machine interfaces for the control of lower-body robotic exoskeletons (pictured).
