Welcome to Engineering Career Center

The Engineering Career Center is a comprehensive career services department that offers all students in the Cullen College of Engineering resources to help develop and achieve career goals.

The Engineering Career Center serves as a resource for information on industry trends, job market and an opportunity for students to confidently pursue their desired career goals. The Career Center is home to three industry related programs: the Industrial Scholar Interns Program (ISIP), Co-Operative Education (COOP) and Internship. These programs are the gateway to starting your engineering career.

Staff in the Center are available to take appointments during regular office hours from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

H1-B Visas and Immigration
According to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services , in just five days' time, 163,000 petitions for H1-B visas were received with 85,000 chosen via a computer-generated random lottery to continue towards full adjudication for the 2009 fiscal year. This year's applications represent a 23% increase over last year's, with the cap being the center of much debate about immigration. Entire Article
