Preparing Students for the Sophomore Engineering Curriculum

Engineering Redshirt Camp
Far too often, students who enter college aspiring to careers in engineering and who thrive during their freshman experience do not pass essential engineering courses, such as Circuits, Electromagnetics, Mechanics I (Statics), Mechanical Thermodynamics I, Chemical Processes, and Chemical Thermodynamics I. These intellectually rigorous courses, which are the foundation for further work in engineering, are difficult even for the well-prepared student.

Engineering Redshirt Camp is specifically designed to "redshirt" or "prepare" eligible students for the challenging sophomore engineering curriculum. It is a highly interactive and collaborative learning experience led by engineering faculty.

Students who successfully complete Redshirt Camp also become eligible to participate in Collaborative Learning Engineering Workshops.
