The University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering, established in 1941, is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. More than 3,250 students are enrolled in engineering courses—2,569 undergraduates as well as 710 masters and doctoral students in biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, industrial, mechanical and petroleum engineering.
